Past “Tense”

We are ecologically shitting on the plate we eat from.

Man’s inhumanity to man remains in full force.

So does his inhumanity to every resource on Earth.

Have we learned nothing from our history?

Are we doomed to repeat history over and over?

How much of history is correct?

Afterall, the scribes of tyrants wrote it.

If French aristocrats had taken their economists’ advice,

they would have avoided losing their heads

during the violent French Revolution.

America’s wealth gap is greater now

than during the French Revolution of 1789.

Save capitalism and buy faster!

Now we can have problems. faster!

There will be shortages driving prices up faster.

Buy, go in debt, run out of goods, lather, rinse and repeat.

Most people do not even know their own Family History.

It has been edited of dirty laundry

to not permanently stain their family.

People prefer fiction over nonfiction.

People in power who start wars know history and yet.

It’s been said, “Man will never be free until the last king

is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.”

I for one, would like a time machine so

I could deal with Christopher Columbus.

Having Yaway Your Way

Moses was lucky he wasn’t put into the Rio Grande.

If Jesus is really going to come back one day,

I expect him to come from a country of hardship.

Somewhere, like El Salvador or Guatemala.

It will end up being a test of faith

for American evangelical Christians.

Christians neglect to remember that vengeance

and judging people is God’s job.

Which could include suffering,

as in the Biblical case of Job.

I prefer a god associated with mercy and charity.

In the US, God is associated with material success.

Ministers spin or misconstrued biblical “knowledge”.

America is all about the “Bible of Prosperity.”

Christian missionaries were sent to foreign countries,

to convert people who had faiths far older than Christianity.

Who is to say the natives did not worship the real God?

I’m not sure that religion is the answer to anything.

After all, God was against knowledge.

He punished Adan and Eve for eating from the tree of it.

the more you control all the people.” – Noam Chompsky
